University for Society – Community Engagement

The Department of Industry and Community Network (ICoN) Universiti Malaysia Pahang welcomed delegates from Universiti Andalas, Indonesia. The visit is a part of Universiti Andalas students community service program with the objective to engage with international volunteering activities. This in line with ICoN’s community outreach motto which aims to promote the importance of social awareness in the context of providing productive activity for the society, ranging from school children to the elderly . In this 21-day program, all the 23 Universiti Andalas students will be engaged to the community volunteering activities including fertigation  farming in UMP Technology Farm, storybook reading in with pre-school children in Taska Anakku Chomel UMP, beach cleaning in Pantai Sepat, motivational talks in Nur Iman Orphanage Center, elephant keeping and cleaning in Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary as well as river cleaning in Kg. Morten, Melaka.

CEO Faculty Program

Sesi libatsama Pengurusan UMP bersama CEO@Faculty diteruskan lagi pada 27 Mei 2019. Kali ini pasukan UMP telah mengadakan kunjung hormat dan perbincangan bersama Y. Brs. Dr Abdul Manaf Mohamad Radzi, Pengerusi Nova Wellness Group di Nova Laboratory Sg Pelek Sepang pada sebelah pagi manakala pertemuan bersama Y. Brs. Pn Rohaida Ali Badaruddin, Pengarah, Scomi Transit Sdn. Bhd. pula diadakan di Ibu Pejabat Scomi Group, Mutiara Damansara pada sebelah petangnya. Delegasi UMP telah diketuai oleh Y. Bhg Profesor Ts. Dr Kamal Zuhairi Zamli, Timbalan Naib Canselor (Penyelidikan & Inovasi) sebagai wakil rasmi Naib Canselor.

Pelbagai program bakal dirangka berdasarkan bidang kepakaran dan pengalaman CEO di samping meneroka kerjasama strategik dalam pelbagai program dibincang antaranya program kebolehpasaran graduan, program sangkutan staf dan penempatan pelajar serta program mentoring modal insan pelajar kejuruteraan dan teknologi selari dengan bidang tumpuan UMP.

Hadir sama Penolong Naib Canselor (Jaringan Industri dan Masyarakat), Prof Dr Jamil Ismail, Pengarah Industry Community Network Dept. UMP (ICoN) , PM Ir. Dr. Nurul Hazlina Noordin dan Pengurus ICoN , Mohd. Raizalhilmy Mohd Rais.

Semoga kerjasama menerusi program AiXCHANGE : CEO@FACULTY PROGRAMME 1.0 ‘LEARN FROM THE PROS’ memberi manfaat kepada kedua-dua pihak kelak.

Visit To KISMEC K2

Delegasi UMP, terdiri dari Prof Dr Jamil Ismail dan Prof Madya Ir Dr Nurul Hazlina Noordin, telah disambut oleh En Yusri Yusuf, Pengarah Eksekutif KISMEC, dalam sesi lawatan dan perbincangan berkaitan program kemahiran revolusi industri 4.0 di Kampus K2 Kulim Hi Tech Park pada 21 May 2019.
