Alumni (Northern Zone) gathering. There were presentations on:- QS Ranking and Alumni Roles, Industry Network Alumni Platform (INAP) and UMP e-Graduan Database System. Able to catch up with E&E graduates working as engineers and pursuing MSc/PhD study.

 

Visited Nation Gate Solutions Prai Plant and discussed on IR4.0 adaptation in manufacturing industries and local production of LEDs.

National STEM Colloquium committee meetup to discuss on STEM Workshops that UMP will be offering during the 2019 National STEM Colloquium in June 2019

 

Feb 19th – Attended a Skype call with Winters YongGang on potential collaboration with Alibaba on e-commerce Technopreneur program in UMP.

Earlier today, attended the 2019 UMP VC’s Talk. Among initiative were highlighted are STEM/STREAM initiative, alumni platform (INAP) as well as industry in academia.

KTP (Lifelong Learning) cycle 1/2019 evaluation, involving external expert, Prof Dr Roselina Ahmad Saufi from Universiti Malaysia Kelantan.

11 proposals were evaluated and ranked according to the criteria set by the Ministry of Education Malaysia.

January 24th

Met discussed on potential collaborations between PNB-UMP in 2019 STEM based projects.

PNB were represented by:-

• Encik Zamani Abdullah, Naib Presiden, Jabatan Pendidikan
• Encik Mohamad Rizal Mohamed, Pengurus Kanan, Jabatan Pendidikan
• Encik Muhammad Rashidan Satapah, Pengurus, Jabatan Pendidikan

UMP and PNB had previously work in outreach programs such as Seminar Pelaburan, Hackathon Expoconvo and STEM SPell it right 2018.

January 25th

Met representatives from KPM (EPRD) and JPN Pahang to discuss on collaboration in organising 2019 STEM Colloquim.

The colloquim is set to take place sometime in May and activities include forum, round table, hands-on session and exhibitions.
