I am pleased to extend a warm welcome to all our esteemed guests from the Pekan Education Department and SMKIS. Selamat Datang ke UMP.
We are here today to witness and celebrate a profound milestone in our pledge to become a leading service provider to industries and communities based on our niches and areas of expertise.
Our utmost gratitude and heartfelt appreciation go to the SMKIS teachers and students for putting their trust in us and participating in the Akademi Menara Gading Universiti Malaysia Pahang Yayasan Al-Sultan Abdullah (AMG UMP YASA) Program.
We hope that our UMP language instructors have greatly showcased our dedication to elevating and emphasizing the crucial roles of language learning and teaching.
We started this Akademi Menara Gading Program with one ultimate objective – that is to enable participants to excel in their SPM exams. As we strongly believe, proficiency in English is a must and it would then pave the way for further education, especially at higher learning institutions.
This program kicked off 16 months ago, aiming at improving the English language proficiency of participants in both academic and social settings.
As we come to the end of this Program, I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude to everyone who has made this program a success.
To our dedicated lecturer and staff from Center of Modern Languages, especially my colleague, Associate Professor Dr. Nik Aloesnita, who have worked creatively and innovatively to provide the best learning environment for the participants, I thank you all for your unwavering commitment to this program.
I remembered having a conversation with you about this program, the challenges especially in term of the funding and execution. Alhamdulillah and congratulations everyone.
It has been truly inspiring to see how the participants have grown and developed their language skills over the course of this program. We have no doubt that they will continue to flourish and succeed in their academic and personal lives.
To Puan Farah Jasmine Hui binti Abdullah, from Pekan District Education Office and Yang berusaha Tn Haji Abdul Rahman bin Sulong, Principal of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Indera Shahbandar, Pekan, thank you very much for your continuous support and having us as part of your eco-system. May this be an inspiration for the next and upcoming programs.
To our dear participants, anak-anak SMKIs, we are immensely proud of you. You have shown great determination and dedication in your studies, and we have no doubt that you will go on to achieve great things in your future endeavors.
Remember, learning is a lifelong journey, and we hope that the skills and knowledge you have gained in this program will serve you well throughout your lives.
I would like to conclude that by reaffirming UMP’s commitment and support towards promoting a strong university-community collaboration for our mutual benefits. Again, Congratulations to all who have made these programmes a reality. I wish you every success.
