UMP adopts Moodle as its learning management system (LMS), known as KALAM. Since going online, due to covid-19 pandemic restrictions, Kalam has been greatly in use – from online learning management to comprehensive assessments platform.
With it’s user friendly interface, activities for the Antenna Propagation course and Electronic System Design is now included in this platform.
Today’s class focus on the build up of ESA, which include dipole and loop antennas.
An initiative by UMP to empower technical competencies among students and staff under its UMP2125 vision.

A courtesy visit by MSD Innovation Chairman, Tan Sri Halim Shafie to UMP. Potential projects to roll on this collaborations include IoT for aquaculture, and agricultural applications, organic fertilizers and student incubators program.
Todays’ class covers the topic of antenna parameters and its importance in antenna design process.
Parameters such as return loss, bandwidth, gain, directivity and VSWR are generally used to describe the performance of an antenna.
