BEE4433 Antenna Theory and Propagation
Today’s class covers the chapter on Broadband Antennas, focusing on 2 main structure – helical antenna and log periodic dipole array.
Broadband antennas are preferred due to its wide band coverage properties. A single unit is able to cater various frequency applications.
For this chapter, students are required to:-
- watch the broadband antenna video and submit a concept inventory review via KALAM feedback
- answer tutorial no 4 regarding helical and LPDA antenna
- simulate a helical antenna structure and discuss the operating mechanism of the antenna
