Briefing on UMP IR at Foreign Language Department, CMLHS

On 8th of January 2018, the Foreign Language Department, through CMLHS invited the UMP IR team for briefing on UMP IR for the academic staff. The objective of the briefing is to provide information and explanation on certain issues regarding UMP IR. The briefing was conducted by Cik Hajah Kamariah Gono, Deputy Chief Librarian, Digital Library Division and Cik Ratna Wilis Haryati, Senior Librarian Assistant. Dr. Jamal Rizal Razali, Head of Foreign Languages Department together with the Foreign Languages Lecturers and Language Teachers attended the session held at Bilik Mesyuarat PBMSK, Universiti Malaysia Pahang, Kampus Pekan.

The lecturers were also had hands on experience by depositing their own article using UMP IR system. While depositing, issues and question are raised and answered by Cik Hajah Kamariah. Among issues raised during the session are type of article, author and co-authors’ right, impact of each article for ranking, how language lecturers and language teachers can contribute through UMP IR and qualify for universities ranking.

The two (2) hour session ended at 4.30 pm. The UMP IR team wishes to thank the Foreign Language Department, CMLHS and Puan Juwairiah Osman for providing the time and effort in realizing the objective.
