Alhamdulillah, I had the wonderful opportunity to host a Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House with my students last Wednesday — an experience that was truly heartwarming and meaningful. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, smiles, and togetherness, reflecting the spirit of unity and harmony that Hari Raya brings.

This gathering was more than just enjoying traditional festive food like rendang, ketupat, lemang, and assorted Raya cookies — it became a special moment to foster stronger bonds between lecturer and students in a relaxed and joyful setting. Outside the usual classroom environment, students felt more comfortable sharing their stories, thoughts, and aspirations. It allowed me to connect with them on a more personal level — not just as students, but as individuals with unique personalities and potential.

A strong relationship between lecturers and students plays a crucial role in creating a positive and supportive learning environment. Through simple yet meaningful activities like this, we nurture mutual respect, build trust, and motivate each other to grow both academically and personally. I truly believe that when students feel seen, heard, and appreciated, they become more driven to achieve their goals.

Thank you to all the students who joined and added joy to the celebration. May this moment of togetherness remain a cherished memory for all of us.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir dan Batin!
