Keeping up to date with new research is an effective way for lecturers to support their ongoing professional development.
Research can play an important role in supporting lectures to:
i) identify and understand practice problems;
ii) support changes;
iii) show its effect in the classroom and global issues.
Research can help address specific practice problems and provide a solid reference point to guide teaching. Engaging with research is key to the lecturer’s continued development as a curious and effective educator.
