NOVEL TOOL-WEAR MAPPING FOR NANO-COOLANT BASED GREEN MACHINING PROCESS INVENTOR:

Monitoring tool wear in machining processes is one of the critical factors in reducing downtime and maximizing profitability and productivity.
• Tool condition monitoring is gaining more attention in automated manufacturing processes in recent times.
• 20% of machining downtime is reported to be due to tool wear, which causes surface deterioration and can be detrimental to machine health.
• Ecological-nano-coolant is a renewable and biodegradable water-based TiO2 nanocoolant for end milling machining process with environmental friendly minimum quantity lubrication (MQL).
• Providing better performance than flooded and oil-based conventional MQL cooling conditions. The drastic increase tool life and improve tool damage.

1. MQL is friendly environment cooling technique, However, gas pressure evaporates and distributes some volume of cutting fluid in the air which could be harmful for machine operators. Thus, MQL does not guarantee operators from respiratory problems.
2. Nanofluid with MQL is an appropriate method for reducing environmental and operator hazards.
3. This coolant is favorable in lubricating property, cooling property and cleaning property and remarkable in effects for improvement of surface roughness and reducing tool wear as well as tool damage.
4. This coolant shows enormous potential to be an innovative and effective alternative flooded lubrication due to environmental protection.
5. This is increase the productivity in machining industry in order to machining performance and cost reduction by abandoning
conventional cutting fluid.
6. The use of eco-nano-coolant is ensured environmental protection, operator’s safety as well as process safety and improve the overall sustainability index which ensures the green machining.
