On 20 – 21 st November 2020, The International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX) is an annual exhibition which includes the best innovations from Asia and beyond. Today, ITEX is the region’s leading exhibition to showcase new technologies, inventions and products, targeted at securing manufacturing, investment and commercialization prospects and partners. The event features exhibitions across 15 categories related to innovation or technology which aim to make everyday life easier. ITEX is Malaysia’s longest-running invention, innovation and technology exhibition.

For me as a lecturer, this research competition is a way for us to increase the impact of our faculty’s work. It shares research insights that will provide you, income generation and potential of your research, with innovative ideas that you can use. In the research competition that follow, you will gain useful insights that are based on rigorous research and reflect on two questions: What is new in this research? And what are the implications for industry and target market?

My research group lead by Dr. Zamri also participated in this research competition by submitting a product entitled “A Deep Learning Vehicle Counting Analysis using Edge Computing Platform”. At the end of the competition, our research group had won Gold medal for this product innovation.
