All of us wish to live the life to the fullest. The circle of our life is full with family, friends even special friends. Sometimes, we shared the happiness and sadness together. There were times we fight over small and silly things. As time passes by, we might have a little laugh while commemorate such things that occur in our life or we might even regret the decision we have taken in the past. That is life! Not all things will go exactly like what you have planned. Life is full of challenges and everyday is packed with surprises, risks and so forth.
I would like to ask you to imagine your life as a drama where the director is God and the hero/ heroin or whatever you want to describe yourself in it is YOU. Today, I want to share with all of you about my hobby that is watching drama. My previous introduction is my effort to guide you all in viewing your life from drama’s perspective. Some peoples watch the drama just to fill in their free time or to spend time with family or they simply bored and want to have some fun.
I love watching Malay dramas. If some of you still remember, just to name a few, Setia Hujung Nyawa, Tentang Dhia, Mr Cinderella and others. Malay dramas nowadays are lacking of new ideas and far from reality. Are your life is all about marry the rich person? Your mother-in-law does not like you so, you get a divorce with your spouse? These kind of plots have been repeated for so many times! For god sake, finitely uncountable! These days, I tend to enjoy variety shows more than I enjoy watching dramas. The directors should try other themes so that the viewers can relate more with their life.
We are living in the world of globalisation and all informations can be accessed through our fingertips. We can search easily by browsing the internet. In 2009, my friend has introduced me several Korean dramas. I fall in love with different plots they offered in their drama which is totally different with the malay dramas. My first korean drama entitled “Boys Over Flower”, this drama evolves around several rich teenagers who have every things but not love. Korean dramas too are reaching stagnant point where most of the stories are about the struggle of love occurs between the rich and the poor, the rich can do whatever they want like giving bribes to the prosecutors to avoid any criminal chargers or rent a whole restaurant just to have a lunch exclusive to them and other to good to be true things.
Recently, after having so much fairytales in the korean dramas I was looking for some fresh dramas that are totally different and unique. I managed to find a website that provides drama from japan! Japanese drama never disappoint me. One of their masterpiece titled “Hanzawa Naoki” really change the way I watch a drama. I finally believe that a drama can offer something else other than a cliche and stereotype plot. Hanzawa Naoki is a story of a banker who was accused with a white collar crime which is fund embezzlement. Avoid from being a victim, he determines to solve the crime on his own. The end of this drama was twisted and it surprised the viewers. The chairman of the bank chose to keep the real criminal and send Hanzawa to other branch of the bank which in my point of view, it is easy to control the corrupt worker rather than Hanzawa since his sense of justice might trouble the director in the future.
Your interest might vary from one another. What I like, you might not like it. A drama offers positive and negative messages. We have to be smart by following the good lessons and avoid the bad influences. Life is like a drama containing many happy, angry, sad, and bitter scenes.
