AP Dr. Eng. Ir. Agus Geter Edy Sutjipto is currently an Associate Professor in Faculty of Industrial Sciences & Technology, Universiti Malaysia Pahang. Dr. Agus Geter was initially an electrical engineer who expanded to a professional in manufacturing, electronics and mechanical engineering as well as in material science & technology. He has spent over 25 years as an engineer, lecturer, consultant, trainer, and as researcher. He had also been appointed as operations manager of a manufacturing company, director of an advanced engineering and innovation center, and head of planning subdivision of a research institute. He was a training supervisor for electrical engineering. He has written more than 80 articles in local and international journals and been awarded more than 15 research findings related with semiconductors, electronic ceramics, manufacturing and materials engineering. He was a consultant and trainer in manufacturing and materials engineering development for semiconductor, ceramics and energy services (in oil and gas). He played the important role in operations and development of manufacturing company to bring the company to the next level in the manufacturing and production of casing/tubing of drilling well based on ISO and American Petroleum Institute’s standards.
He likes to play ping-pong, tennis and golf.
He can speak Japanese, Indonesia, English, Javanese.
